KidSafe Sites using WCR
This page highlights websites that use Web Clarity Ratings, identify themselves as kid-safe, and meet a basic set of safety criteria. It’s a starting point for parents and educators—not a guarantee.
What “KidSafe” means here
The KIDSAFE descriptor is intended for sites that actively design and moderate for children’s safety. To be listed in this directory, a site should:
- Use the WCR-E (Everyone) rating.
- Include the KIDSAFE descriptor in its WCR meta tags or JSON.
- Avoid explicit sexual content, graphic violence, and adult themes.
- Avoid real-money gambling, crypto speculation, or similar risk mechanics.
- Provide strong moderation for any user-generated content or disable it entirely.
- Make it easy to contact the site owner or report issues.
UWSC performs a light-touch review before listing a site, but content can change. Parents and educators should still review each site themselves.

If you don’t see many sites listed yet, that simply means we’re in the early days of adoption. As more site owners choose to implement WCR and request review, this directory can become a helpful way to discover family-friendly destinations online.
